OTC
Over-the-counter (OTC) drugs are medicines sold directly to a consumer without a requirement for a prescription from a healthcare professional, as opposed to prescription drugs, which may be supplied only to consumers possessing a valid prescription.

BRANDED MEDICINE
Branded Medicines. Branded medicines are medicines which have a name given to them by a company for the purpose of advertising. The names of branded medicines are different from the International Nonproprietary Name (INN), also known as the generic name.

PURA (UK) Ltd is authorised by the MHRA to Export Goods outside of European Economic Area (EEA), subject to qualifying its non-EEA partners.
All non-EEA must meet our rigorous checks to be approved as a bonafide partner, ensuring they hold all the relevant licences to import medicine from the EEA, by the respective local Healthcare Authorities.
CLINICAL TRIALS SUPPLY
Clinical trials are research studies performed in people that are aimed at evaluating a medical, surgical, or behavioral intervention. They are the primary way that researchers find out if a new treatment, like a new drug or diet or medical device (for example, a pacemaker) is safe and effective in people.

CONTROLLED DRUGS
A controlled substance is generally a drug or chemical whose manufacture, possession, or use is regulated by a government, such as illicitly used drugs or prescription medications that are designated by law. Substances are classified according to schedules and consist primarily of potentially psychoactive substances.
COLD CHAIN
A range of medicines need to be refrigerated. These include insulins, antibiotic liquids, injections, eye drops and some creams. These medicines must be stored between 2ºC and 8ºC.
